The cowl is knit flat, from the bottom point upwards, increasing until the width is reached, and then knit straight for an additional length. The edges of the straight section are then seamed together with mattress stitch. This construction results in a shorter back neck portion which helps the cowl sit nicer around the neck. This cowl pattern is offered in 3 different size options (S, M, L).
