The Compass Sweater is inspired by the lines of a compass, with 4 raised lines down the front, back and both sleeves mimicking the North, East, South and West compass points, and the raglan seams mimicking the NW, SW, SE, NE lines. It has a V-neck front and is worked top down. The sleeves and bottom edge have a 1x1 ribbed hem, and the bottom hem features a side split hem. The sweater is designed to fall to about mid hip level. The pattern will have options for waist shaping if desired, and adding extra length to cover your butt. This is a #sizeinclusive pattern.

Sizes offered: 30 (34, 38, 42) {46, 50, 54} (58, 62, 66, 70) inches
Sizes 62”, 66” and 70” are untested, if you are interested in knitting the Compass Sweater in one of those sizes, please let me know and I will gift the pattern to you in exchange for feedback!
These measurements are for the FINISHED bust size in inches, and the sweater is designed for 2-6 inches of positive ease. To determine the best size for you, measure your actual bust in inches, and add 2 to 6 inches depending on how fitted you want the sweater to be.*

Needles required:
8 mm for body (32-40 inch cord or longer for body, plus 16 inch cord or optional DPNs for sleeves)
6.5 mm for ribbing (at least 16-24 inch cord for bottom hem ribbing, for sleeves you may be able to use 16 inch cord, or longer cord with magic loop method,or DPNs)

Gauge:
4” x 4” = 12 sts x 14 rows using 8 mm needles and working in stockinette
1” x 1” = 3 sts x 3.5 rows
make sure to complete a gauge swatch and adjust needle size if needed!

Yarn required: any bulky weight yarn (I used Knitpicks Biggo for the gold sample, Expression Fibre Arts Buttery Bulky for the grey sample, and A Handmade Journey Classic Bulky for the pink sample)

yardage is an approximation at this point, and is calculated using the mid-hip length. Allow for extra yardage if choosing to do the modification
