The Entwined Destinies Vest is a cute V-neck cabled vest. It is worked top down, flat for the armhole shaping, then in the round for the remainder of the body. The edges are worked with an I-cord/selvedge edge. The vest is worked to an upper bust measurement during the armhole shaping section, and then some additional increases are worked during the beginning of the body section to reach full bust measurements. The vest is designed to fall to a cropped/high waist level and is intended to be a slightly oversized, boxy fit, but has options for a small amount of waist shaping if desired, as well as adding extra length as needed for the body. This is a size inclusive design, written for 10 sizes (32-68 inch / 80-170 cm finished bust, in 4 inch / 10 cm increments) and designed for 2-6 inches / 5-15 cm of positive ease.

Note: The sizes reflect the FINISHED bust measurements in inches / cm of the vest, and listed below the sizes you can see the recommended actual bust range for each size. The vest is designed for 2-6 inches / 5-15 cm of positive ease. To determine the size you wish to knit, measure your bust and add 2-6 inches / 5-15 cm to find the closest size. If you are in between sizes, size down for a snugger fit, or up for a looser fit. My sample is knit with 4 inches / 10 cm of positive ease (size 3 on a 36 inch / 90 cm bust and 30 inch / 75 cm waist).

Using 4.5 mm / US 7 / UK 7 (body) needles and working in cable pattern:
4 x 4 inch / 10 x 10 cm = 24 sts x 29 rows/rounds
- I recommend swatching both in the round and flat, as parts of the vest are knit flat before joining in the round. If your flat gauge is significantly different than your round gauge, you can adjust needle size for the flat portion.
Yarn recommended:
Any DK (3) weight yarn (or a fingering/sport weight held with lace) that you can match gauge with.
